Lindsay Lohan Shares Insights on Her Mental Well-being and Exercise Practices

After living in Dubai for several years, Lindsay Lohan made a splash during the 2022 Super Bowl. She appeared in a Planet Fitness commercial that was all about wellness, with a humorous twist. In it, she pokes fun at the paparazzi and adds some sparkle to an ankle monitoring bracelet.

But Lindsay takes wellness seriously. She keeps up with a regular workout routine (more on that soon) and focuses on her mental health and the positive things in her life. In 2022, she announced her marriage to financier Bader Shammas. She also returned to acting in the Christmas movie “Falling for Christmas,” released on Netflix on November 10, 2022.

In a chat with Health, Lindsay shared her favorite workouts, her cravings, and how she takes care of her mental well-being. This was a cheerful way for her to move past old challenges and embrace new beginnings.

Planet Fitness offers a welcoming environment where you can work out without feeling judged. They emphasize the mental health benefits of exercising, which often get overlooked in favor of physical ones. Working out boosts your endorphins, improves sleep, and reduces stress.

Lindsay values this kind of self-care and sticks to a routine. She works out three or four times a week. Although she’s not a fan of outdoor running, she enjoys hitting the treadmill with her headphones on, mixing up speed walking, jogging, and sprinting on an incline.

For her, taking care of herself includes a solid skincare routine and healthy eating. It’s also about having a supportive circle of people around her. A strong support system is crucial for stability.

She tries to keep a balanced lifestyle. She loves cooking and exploring recipes, which helps her eat healthily. Despite not having much of a sweet tooth, she occasionally craves fast food. To manage this, she’ll opt for a kid’s meal, which is a little trick of hers and something her fiancé and siblings tease her about. It’s all about balancing those indulgences with nutritious choices.

Lindsay meditates daily for 10 to 15 minutes, combining breathing exercises with spiritual prayers. This practice helps her stay focused. She often meditates in the bathroom with the shower running—the sound of water is calming and creates a cozy, undisturbed space.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, living in Dubai made Lindsay realize how much she missed her family. She’s glad to be in the U.S. more often now, especially for work, and always plans extended stays to spend time with her family, whom she is grateful for, along with her fiancé.

Working is also a source of enjoyment for her again. Having started her career at a young age, she reached a point where it wasn’t fulfilling anymore. Now, she’s happy to have found her momentum again and is eager to keep it going.
